"That very opening track Fleeks and Geeks hits hard right out of the gates. While they do a solid job letting the guitars open up and hit the necessary noise level of any heavy punk inspired grungy track, they keep those parts condensed and focus on the tighter structures. That’s the main takeaway from this EP, there are no attempts to fuck around on this record.
Central to the feel of Fear and Loathing in Outer Space are straight up heavy distorted grooves. While most of the EP gives the sense that Mediaslaves should be touring with a band like Cancer Bats, the third track Anxiety takes the album down the road towards stoner metal bands like Down."
